67 year old Rajan is the only sea swimming elephant in the world and he swims in the Andaman Islands of India primarily for tourists and photographers.
In 1970s ten elephants were taught swimming so they could carry logs of wood between the island chains of Andaman in India and Rajan is the last of the lot still living and swimming in the Andamans, while others have been relocated to temples of south India or died.
