The Andes Mountains are part of a beautiful landscape in Colombia’s interior that includes balmy weather, majestic greenery and mountain streams. Visitors can relax in a hammock on the terrace of the hotel in Salento, dine on locally farmed trout with plantain cakes, and go on a coffee plantation tour. A bluff above the center of the city provides an excellent view of the 19th-century Spanish colonial town.
