Visit the stunning 19th century Miramare Castle, situated on the Gulf of Trieste in Friuli Venezia Giulia. This mesmerising coastal castle was built between1856-1860 for Austrian royalty; the Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian and his wife.
Ornately furnished in true aristocratic style in the interior, tourists would delight at a tour around this beautifully preserved haven of wealth and beauty!
The enchantment of this castle continues out into the intricately designed garden landscapes and stables that envelop the castle itself. With a superb view of the Adriatic Sea, tourists will have trouble drawing themselves away from such a magnificent place!
It’s open for viewing from 9am to 7pm all year around and audio guides are available in several languages. Tickets are only €4 and include a wonderful tour around many rooms of Miramare Castle, the flourishing gardens and the stables.
