Explore the picturesque Aeolian archipelago!

The Aeolian archipelago is a group of islands off the north coast of Sicily. The islands were born out of violent volcanic activity in this part of the sea. The most populated and largest island is Lipari. The others are called Vulcano (in the picture), Salina, Stromboli, Filicudi, Alicudi, Panarea and Basiluzzo.

Two volcanoes are still active on Stromboli and Vulcano. Tourists can enjoy bathing in hot thermal springs across all the islands among the peace and tranquillity of nature. This archipelago has been awarded UNESCO World Heritage Status for its uniqueness.

See the unusual black sand beaches here and the rich colourful flora that flourishes in the fertile soil. Stop off in the welcoming port of Panarea which is full of yachts and delicious eateries around the harbour.
