The Beauty Of One Of The 3 Most “Photogenic” Churches In Tuscany
Sant’Antimo Abbey is a church that, at first glance, may be understandably mistaken for a medieval castle. This building is an excellent example of the height of Roman architecture and was, according to legend, built when a traveler constructed the Abbey after escaping a nearby plague.
Unlike many of the ancient buildings in Italy, this particular church has not been reduced to little more than historic ruins. The natural landscape around the building gives it an impressive and unforgettable look that must be experienced in person.
