The Ancient Medieval Village Of Brisighella

The ancient medieval village of Brisighella is located in the region of Emilia-Romagna in the Ravenna Province and is renowned for its excellent cuisine and its interesting spa commune. Brisighella is recognized for its Medieval Quarter and its unusual features which include a sanctuary, three rocky pinnacles, and an unusual clock tower.

Two of the city’s most significant features include the “terme” or baths located near the River Lamone and the “Feste Medioevali di Brisighella” or Brisighella Medieval Festival. The baths are known for the healthy sodiobromidiodic and sulphurous waters and are situated in a large jogging and walking park.The huge festival takes place during the weekends beginning in late June and ending in the middle of July.

The city makes a great base for venturing out and exploring the surrounding cities of Bologna, Faenza, Ravenna, and Rimini. One of the most significant aspects to be aware of regarding the city of Brisighella is the fact that it is amazingly quiet and not crowded with hoards of tourists. Surprisingly, the city has a lot to offer the visitor who is looking to enjoy a relaxing vacation in this serene mountain and river valley environment.
