The Orange Flag town of Casperia in Latium is located on a hilltop, nestled in the middle of the Sabine Hills. This medieval fortressed town has remained frozen in history, totally unscathed by commercialism and a perfect spot to visit for those who like to step off the beaten track.
Casperia is shaped almost like a perfect pyramid, narrowing to a point at the top of the hill upon which it is built. The tower built right on this spot offers breath-taking views of the surrounding forested mountain range. There are no cars here, Casperia is completely pedestrianized and offers tourists a fascinating trail through its narrow cobbled streets that wind in loops up to its very peak.
